  <title>A Taste Of Chaos</title>
  <link>http://riptide.livermoronfilms.com/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=112</link>
<description>Long time no post. I just happened to notice how everyone&#039;s getting old, graduating, getting married (Well, not quite Kelly yet), changing, etc. My generation at that youth group is fading out and by now I&#039;m probably just a name mentioned from time to time at best. And honestly, it&#039;s been quite a rocky road for me since moving here. But what I&#039;ve really noticed is going on is God is solidifying my faith. On top of that, my relationship with both of my parents has vastly improved in the last year and a half.

I kinda feel like an athlete in the trade market right now. My dad has talked about possible moves to SoCal, Oregon, Hawaii, and even freekin New Zealand (That would&#039;ve been disastrous). None of those ever happened, and as of now I feel like we&#039;re probably going to end up staying put for a while. Tracy&#039;s always going to be my home because it&#039;s where I really committed my self to live for Christ, but God has really used this place and the people here to help mature me in Christ. Because of cultural differences here and the fact that most high schoolers (even Christians) can be snobby jerk faces, being here has really helped build character in me and helped me step out of my comfort zone. I&#039;ve always been a sucker for the comfort zone, but unfortunately in high school, most places are the danger zone.

Just an update of what I&#039;ve really been up to this past summer. I did pretty much nothing but sit on my twin cushions in June and July but did quite a bit of traveling in August/ early September which included summer camp. Yeah, I could&#039;ve gone out and got my permit at least, but so much for that. Pray that I&#039;ll rid of my procrastination habits. Likely another part of God&#039;s building process. I took a break from worship for a while. Lots of new guys showing up and stepping in here. Lots of changes and even chaos despite the size of the church/ youth ministry. But during camp I really felt God calling me back to do worship and relieve some of that chaos and distress in the ministry. I&#039;d be lying if I told you things were great, but since I highly doubt that more than two of you actually took the time to read this, I am exiting Calypsan.

And since the butter seems to be melting, I don&#039;t see the danger in prematurely claiming Riptide&#039;s first ever Fantasy Baseball Title. At the moment Fuzzboy and I stand tied at 5, but I am more than confident that the Ship will land right atop his possibly shaved face. And if he&#039;s not shaved, then Mark Teixeira can take care of that for him.

  <title>Tidal Wave</title>
  <link>http://riptide.livermoronfilms.com/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=111</link>
<description>If you weren&#039;t there you missed out... FOR REALS!!!

We had 26 (yes, you are reading that right) junior highers show up for a night of food, fun, and tunes.

Derek started the night off right with a game Ultimate Garbage Ball. Kids were running around, getting sweaty, and having fun.

The Crosspath worship team, lead by Kyle Chivers, followed Derek up with some rocking tunes before transitioning into a worship set. The team, consisting of Kyle (lead vocals, acoustic guitar), Andrew Garrity (vocals, bass), John Zonfrello (lead guitar), Chris Beckham (rhythm guitar), and Scott Beckham (drums) really did a wonderful job.

Worship was followed by a brief message by Kelly. But what started off as a small lesson turned into a heartfelt, passionate, Spirit-led message topped off with an emotional testimony; the effects of which have yet to be seen.

After Kelly concluded his lesson with a prayer for salvation, we joined together to trick Kelly into thinking there was another game when really we just needed to set up a chance to sing him Happy Birthday!

The event was a wonderful reminder that God does move. We have been challenging you guys for a long time to bring your friends and to step up to the plate. This time you didn&#039;t strike out -- you hit a grand slam! Thanks to all of you that joined us and to all of you that couldn&#039;t make it for one reason or another, I hope that you are able to come back soon.

In Christ,
Tony (Fuzz)</description>
